His name is Kyle Jean-Baptiste. He had a leading role in Les Miserables. He was the first black actor to have a leading role in Broadway ever.

Kyle Jean-Baptiste was just 21 when he tragically died. He was the youngest actor to have the leading role. Unfortunately, 21-year-old Kyle died on Friday night. He fell from a fire escape.

His Les Miserables colleagues from the theater said:

 We are shocked and devastated by the sudden and tragic loss of Kyle, a remarkable young talent and tremendous person who made magic – and history – in his Broadway debut

It was also said in a short statement about the latest tragedy that happened:

We send our deepest condolences to his family and ask that you respect their privacy in this unimaginably difficult time

On 23 of July Kyle made a history-making sensation by playing Valjean. In film this role is played by Hugh Jackman.

Kyle Jean-Baptiste recently said that it was his dream “since I was a little boy” to play in Broadway.

On August 25 he wrote on his Twitter account that the experience he received was “life changing”. He also thanked everyone for the support.

He was sitting with a 23-year-old woman on the fire escape. When he stood up, he slipped and fell from his mother’s house.
