B. B. King’s daughters claim that the blues legend was ‘poisoned’

Two B.B.King’s daughters, Karen Williams and Patty King, believe that their father was poisoned by his business manager LaVerne Toney and personal assistant Myron Johnson.

Two B.B.King’s daughters, Karen Williams and Patty King, believe that their father was poisoned by his business manager LaVerne Toney and personal assistant Myron Johnson.

Las Vegas police stated that they set up an investigation and a postmortem examination has been carried out, but no further details have been announced.

I believe my father was poisoned and that he was administered foreign substances.
I believe my father was murdered.

– said B.B.King’s daughters.

Patty King used to live at her father’s home and saw how Johnson every evening for a few months before the blues star’s death had been giving him two drops of unknown substance while Toney never told her what it was.

Both accused didn’t want to comment Williams and King’s claims, but later Toney, who was King’s business manager for four decades, said that these two woman had been making allegations all along. However, Toney was named as an executor of $10M estate in B.B.King’s will.

When the 89-year-old Blues King died on May 14 in Las Vegas the only person who sat beside his bed was Johnson.

Williams and King’s lawyer Larissa Drohobyczer stated that the BB King’s family ousted Toney because of her self-dealing, illegal managing and conflicts of interest. She also added that Toney might hastened King’s death by improper attend to his medical needs.

A procession and BB King’s memorial are planned for Wednesday in Memphis, Tennessee. Then a viewing will take place on Friday and burial on Saturday in his hometown of Indianola, Mississippi.

However, the King’s final returning to home shouldn’t be delayed by the police investigation, according to the Clark County Coroner John Fudenberg. He said that postmortem was made on Sunday and after that the body was returned to a mortuary in Las Vegas. Fudenberg stated that obtaining the results will take up to eight weeks.

At the same time the lawyer representing King’s estate Brent Bryson called Drohobyczer’s claims ridiculous and said he hoped they had a factual basis to demonstrate for their allegations. He added that King had a 24-hour care and monitoring of professional medics till the very last breath. Three doctors determined that he was appropriately looked after.
Brent Bryson admitted:

This is extremely disrespectful to BB King. He did not want invasive medical procedures. He made the decision to return home for hospice care instead of staying in a hospital. These unfounded allegations have caused Mr King to undergo an autopsy, which is exactly what he didn’t want
