Amy Locane-Bovenizer, an actress who played in “Melrose Place,” is convicted for vehicular manslaughter. As a result, she may face a civil trial.

“Melrose Place” actress was convicted by jury in 2012 in New Jersey. Amy Locane-Bovenizer was found guilty for car crash that took place in Somerset County in 2010. A 60-year-old lady Helene Seeman was a victim of deadly crash.

According to the state Department of Corrections, actress was recently released from prison, where she served 2,5 years out of 3.

In December 2010, victim’s husband sued Locane-Bovenizer. On Friday, Amy’s letter was taken to the court and her lawyer Raymond Silverman said she is no longer interested in a settlement.

Silverman said the case is “‘trial-ready’ in the near future,” as Seeman’s husband wants to move forward with pre-trial preparations. He didn’t give any comments on the matter yet.

A lot of claims and counterclaims are included in the lawsuit. Locane-Bovenizer, a local couple, a theater that hosted party the day the crash happened and a woman whose car was hit testified.

When the accident happened, the actress had blood-alcohol level almost three times higher than legal limit allows. Her SUV crashed into Seeman’s Mercury Milan.
