Alex Rocco, “Godfather” star died

Worldwide famous “The Godfather” actor Alex Rocco died. Famous actor, best known for his role as Moe Greene, died on Saturday as his daughter Jennifer wrote on her Facebook account. He was 79 years old.

In the post his daughter Jennifer wrote:

I will see you but not for a while….

Rocco started his career about 50 years ago with a film Motorpsycho! in 1965. According to IMDB he has at least one film in post-production. His daughter claimed he gave his last interview for it. Also, he appeared in Maron and Episodes.

According Hollywood Reporter, Alexander Federico Petricone, his real name, was born Massachusetts. He learnt acting with Leonard Nimoy.

Rocco always appeared on screens as a bad guy or a tough creature. He voiced “Thorny” in Pixar’s A Bug’s Life.

In his interview in 2012 he said:

That was my greatest prize ever in life, because I did about eight lines as an ant, and I think I made over a million dollars

Rocco was also famous for voicing Roger Meyers Jr in Simpsons and taking part in Magic City.

According to Rocco, his biggest role was a role of Greene in 1972 movie of Francis Ford Coppola. People still remember him by this role.

His wife, actress Shannon Wilcox, is still living with family. They have daughter Jennifer and son Lucien.
