Disney took control over the Star Wars franchise in 2012, and many reports have come since then about Disney’s ability to create tons of media content. On the basis of Star Wars and, of course, Marvel, Disney created not only TV-shows and movies, but also toys and theme parks as well, but Disney feels like using the whole potential of these franchises.

Disney’s CEO, Bob Iger, recently announced some very interesting news. He said that brands like ABC, ESPN or Disney may be creating a separate channel for Marvel or Star Wars universe. As now media giants are going by the way of dividing the media space into smaller pieces when user is paying only for what he wishes to watch instead of having a service with a lot of different-typed content.

And the news isn’t that incredible to be as it seems as currently there are seven Star Wars full-featured movies and two shows with 7 seasons in total. Experts predict that in five years we may be having 9 movies and 15 seasons of TV-shows. Also, rumors have spread over the internet recently about the second TV-show, possibly a live version. So, maybe one day some kid will sit back on the couch and watch lots of Star Wars or Marvel content.
